2010 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Map, Route and Line Up

Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy! Are you excited for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? I bet you are because you're looking for the Route Information, Map and Line-Up of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010!

Below is the 2010 Official Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Map and Route Information:

The parade will start at 77th Street and Central Park West, marching south on Central Park West. Then, it will turn east onto Central Park South. Subsequently, the parade will turn south at the corner of Central Park South and march to 42nd Street.

The parade will continue east along 42nd Street, from 7th to 6th Avenues. Once they arrive onthe 6th Avenue, it will go south and march to 34th Street. The parade will then head west to Herald Square, ending at 34th Street and 7th Avenue.

The 2010 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade line-up will feature 15 giant character balloons, 27 floats, 1600 cheerleaders, 800 clowns and a dozen marching bands. Wow! That's awesome! I bet you can't wait to see the parade, because I can't wait either!

And oh! The line-up for Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade 2010 includes giant balloon characters such as Ronald McDonald, Buzz Lightyear, Kermit the Frog, Shrek, and Spongebob Squarepants! Oh boy!!!

Other floats expected to roll down the parade route include Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure, 123 Sesame Street, and Snoopy’ Dog House.

Since 1924, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, originally known as Macy’s Christmas Parade, has been marching through the streets of New York City and has become an American tradition. It is broadcast live on television and more than 50 million people watch the parade every year.

The parade will be hosted by “Today Show” hosts Matt Lauer, Meredith Viera and Al Roker will air live on Thanksgiving Day November 25th starting at 9:00 a.m. ET on NBC.
